Which religion is right? I use to hear this so many times, that if I die and I am wrong as you put it I have everything to lose... but that is being naive. You neglect the 100 surplus other religions and other gods who promise hell as yours for not believing correct. To say that you have nothing to lose is an unfinished statement. You may not have to face the Christian god when you die, but you have not given the thought that the Muslims, or Jewish people may be correct, or that one of the many other religions or belief are correct and you fall at the hands of their religion! … My solution is to worship none of them and if I turn out to be wrong about any god than so be it, but with all these beliefs out with none of them with viable proof but written words, sorry I rather take me chances. **************************************************************************************************** There are basically three types of religions in the world: 1) Those that believe in a relationship with a transcendent personal creator (Judaism, Islam, and Christianity) which are Biblically based; OR 2) Those who have some other view of the universe, loosely based on the Hindu/Buddhist concept of Nirvana, many gods, and an immanent impersonal source of being; OR 2) Those who believe God is unknowable (agnostic) or doesn't exist at all (atheist). If #3 is right, and I believe in Jesus, I have lived a moral, loving life and at least will be remembered kindly even if I otherwise cease to exist. If #2 is right, and I believe in Jesus, I will still achieve some measure of good karma, or whatever you wish to call it, because I have lived a moral, loving life, and been subject to an avatar, savior, or "god", Jesus. If #1 is right, and I believe in Jesus, then I will have lived an abundant life here and will live an awesome life forever. So it seems to me that I have all the bases covered! How could I lose by serving, loving and following Jesus????
