Everlasting Love
Life's too short for all our dreams Our hopes too huge for such short span Time's too fast, length of years too slow We need eternity to fulfill the past. We sing of love forever We hope for love that lasts We want more and more meaning But life goes by too fast. When age creeps in and limbs are stiff Our hearts are still too young, The mirror sees seams and lines Our hearts cry for dreams long past. We sing of love forever We hope for love that lasts We want more and more meaning But life goes by too fast. What can satisfy the aching heart When the body ceases to be? When time is gone and life is still, What hope except for eternity?
